Why the King James Version?

The King James Version (KJV) of the Bible has been a cornerstone of the English-speaking Christian world since its completion in 1611. Commissioned by King James I of England and translated by a team of over 47 scholars, it remains one of the most widely read and trusted translations in Christian history.

At SUDOLAW Ministries, we make the KJV available freely because we believe God's Word belongs to every person — regardless of income, location, or circumstance. The Word of God should never be out of reach.

Tips for Reading the Bible

If you are new to the Bible, here are a few suggestions to help you get started:

Start with the Gospel of John. John is one of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) and gives a beautiful, clear account of who Jesus is and what He did. It is an excellent first book for new believers.
Read the Psalms for comfort and worship. The Psalms are poems and songs of praise, lament, and trust. They are deeply personal and speak to the full range of human emotion.
Study the Proverbs for wisdom. Proverbs offers practical, God-centered wisdom for everyday life. Reading one chapter per day takes you through the whole book in a month.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." — 2 Timothy 3:16
